Look and feel great this summer by treating yourself to cosmetic procedures that will showcase your features and result in what we like to call “Believable Beauty.”
Many of our patients who live in NYC prefer to get facial plastic surgery done in the summer as it allows them the time to heal. Surgical cosmetic procedures such as the ones detailed below take approximately 6 to 12 months to fully heal and reveal the final results. The first 30 to 60 days allow the swelling to go down and for stitches to be removed, allowing patients to get back to their normal routines.
Rhinoplasty: The nose is the focal point of the face. As a result, even minor changes can make a drastic difference, by either creating harmony with other facial features or disrupting it. If you feel your nose is too big, small, crooked, pointed or bulbous, rhinoplasty might be a perfect option.
There is also a non-surgical nose job option which is growing in popularity. Completed with the use of fillers, it is ideal for patients who want to “test out” results or who have minor imperfections they would like to correct such as a slight dip on the bridge of the nose.

Blepharoplasty: An eyelid lift can provide a completely refreshed appearance by reducing the droopy, tired look of the upper eyelid as the elasticity wanes over time. It is also used to address the area of skin underneath the eye, which can look puffy, appear to have bags or grow wrinkled and crepe-like. Think of an eyelid lift as an “uplift” that turns back the hands of time, opening up and therefore rejuvenating the eyes. When applicable, a patient can couple an eyelid surgery with face and neck lifts, or eyebrow and forehead lifts, to maximize your healing time.
Dr. Jennifer Levine is a double board-certified facial plastic surgeon who is always developing ways to maximize her patients’ results and comfort. Instead of having patients undergo blepharoplasty in the hospital under full anesthesia, Dr. Levine is able to do so with local anesthesia from the comfort of our office. This method allows for faster recovery, added patient comfort and reduced cost.

Facelift: Ideal for patients in their 50s and beyond with moderate to high skin laxity, a surgical facelift restores a youthful look by reducing the appearance of wrinkles and removing excess skin. A facelift is often combined with a neck lift to tighten the skin around the neck and jaw line. If excess fat is a concern, neck liposuction can be used to remove the fat under the neck. Muscles and skin are lifted and tightened, and sutures are seamlessly hidden. Mild discomfort is a possibility, but you’ll be back to your daily routine in 10-14 days. Full results take 9 to 12 months to appear.
If you are in your 20s and are starting to see the first signs of aging such as fine lines and mild to moderate skin laxity, it is the ideal time to start preventative practices, which can be done with non-surgical methods. Dr. Levine is world-renowned for her use of combination treatments like Ultherapy and injectables to help slow and prevent signs of aging. A master trainer for Ultherapy, Dr. Levine names it one of her favorite non-invasive treatments because it addresses the same deep layers of tissue as a surgical facelift. Using ultrasound technology, Ultherapy stimulates the body’s natural collagen production, tightening and uplifting skin on the face, neck and décolleté. It is also used to tighten skin on the knees and elbows.
