Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal used to be strictly a female treatment. Today, men are more conscious about their appearance than ever before and the removal excess body hair is at the top of their list. Due to the volume of hair most men have, pain caused by most lasers has been a deterrent. Not at our office. Our state-of-the-art Nordlys laser allows for painless and safe laser hair removal on any skin tone and complexion.

  • Which parts of the body can have laser hair removal?

    +

Hair removal with this technology can be completed on the face, axillae (armpits), legs and bikini line as well as the chest and back.

  • Is this safe?

    +

Yes. The Nordlys technology is cleared for safe hair removal treatments. Additionally, the light produced by the system is carefully regulated to ensure that the right amount of energy is emitted to eliminate the follicle.

  • How does the Nordlys hair removal work?

    +

For long-lasting or permanent hair removal, the hair follicle from which individual hairs grow must be eliminated. In a technique known as “Selective Photothermolysis”, controlled pulses of light penetrate the outer layer of the skin, or epidermis and the light is absorbed by melanin in the hair contained in the follicle. Melanin then converts the light energy into heat. Once the heat is transferred to the hair follicle, it is eliminated, making it unable to produce new hair.

  • How often do I need to get the treatment?

    +

*The Nordlys system facilitates the fastest hair removal on the market. Depending on various factors such as the area being treated and your skin type, it may take 4 – 6 treatments.

  • How long will the results last?

    +

Clinical studies have shown that 10 years after I2PL laser treatments, 77% of unwanted hair is still unseen.
