Rhinoplasty, commonly known as a nose job, is one the most popular plastic surgery procedures. Over her 20 years in practice, Dr. Jennifer Levine has completed over 10,000 surgical rhinoplasties.
Since even the slightest modifications to the nose – dubbed as the ‘centerpiece of the face’ – can make significant changes to one’s facial appearance, patients often want to know what their results will look like ahead of time. This is one of the reasons a non-surgical nose job is one of our most requested treatments!

What is a Non-Surgical Nose Job?
Also known as a liquid nose job, a non-surgical nose job is an aesthetic treatment that either uses injectable dermal fillers such as Restylane and Juvederm, a Thread Lift or a combination of both.
A non-surgical nose job can help augment or raise a flat bridge, reduce dents or depressions, and reduce the appearance of a hump on a bridge. However, it will not reduce the size of the nose. Scroll to the bottom to learn whether a non-surgical nose job or a rhinoplasty is best for you.
Cosmetic Fillers
Placed in specific areas, cosmetic fillers such as Restylane Lyft can alter and shape a patient’s nose without the need for surgery, which is one of the reasons many elect this type of nose job.
A note from Dr. Jennifer Levine: While other cosmetic fillers may be used in certain circumstances, I always put the safety of my patients first. Restylane Lyft provides more of a lifting effect and is a simpler filler to reverse. The nose is in the middle of the ‘danger triangle’ and should only be injected by board-certified professionals with extensive knowledge of facial anatomy.
Nose Thread Lift
Dr. Levine is a trainer for MINT PDO, our preferred PDO threads. Dissolvable suture strings made from Polydioxanone (PDO), they act as a support structure for the nose and can raise the nasal bridge and the tip’s projection.
Benefits of a Non-Surgical Nose Job
- It can be an effective solution for patients who may be unable to undergo surgery for medical reasons.
- Patients who are not sure if they want a surgical nose job can sometimes ‘try it on’ first with this treatment. Lasting up to 12 months, dermal fillers are temporary and reversible. PDO threads last up to 6 months.
- A rhinoplasty can be expensive and sometimes unnecessary. Patients who require just minor modifications accomplishable by the non-surgical options can safely save on the expense of a surgery.
