EMFACE™ is a noninvasive treatment that combines two advanced technologies to rejuvenate the face by strengthening elevator facial muscles and boosting collagen and elastin levels. Preparation

To prepare for EMFACE™, you must take good care of your skin by wearing sunscreen and avoiding excessive sun exposure. Protecting your skin prevents sun damage that could delay your appointment. You should also avoid tanning beds and medspa treatments, such as chemical peels, ahead of time, as they could affect the integrity of your skin barrier. We recommend scheduling your treatment approximately two weeks before any important events, as your skin may appear slightly flushed afterward.

Treatment Process

On the day of your treatment, you must arrive in comfortable clothing with clean skin, without makeup or skincare products. We will cleanse your skin and apply the EMFACE™ applicator, which will contract your muscles. During the treatment, patients feel a slightly warm sensation as the applicator administers the synchronized energy into the skin. The full-face treatment takes approximately 30 minutes, and you can return home afterward. For the most effective treatment, Dr. Levine recommends scheduling 4 to 6 of these sessions, each a week apart.

After Your Treatment

You can return to most of your normal activities after your EMFACE™ treatment, as long as you make sure to avoid excessive sun exposure. It is not uncommon for your skin to appear slightly flushed or red from the treatment. This is temporary, and EMFACE™ does not require downtime. However, it can take a few weeks to fully experience the treatment’s effects, as the collagen gradually improves the appearance of your skin.

Is EMFACE™ painful?

EMFACE™ is a 30-minute, pain-free, needle-free treatment. Patients report feeling a warm sensation which is the RF working to tighten skin, as well as a vibration from the HIFES energy. EMFACE™ has a self-regulating system that ensures that the proper heating and vibrations are administered effectively, all the while providing a pain-free experience.

How many EMFACE™ treatments will I need?

This depends on the condition of your skin and your aesthetic goals. Dr. Levine typically recommends a treatment series of 4 – 6 treatments, each scheduled a week apart. During your consultation, we can discuss the best treatment plan for your needs.

Are there any side effects of EMFACE™?

Although some patients experience some slight, temporary redness, the treatment is generally painless and well-tolerated.

Can I combine EMFACE™ with other treatments?

Should I still get cheek fillers if I get the EMFACE™ treatment?

EMFACE™ is considered a needle-less filler because of its ability to build up the muscles under the cheeks and create the appearance of added volume. While this may be enough for some to achieve a lifted and refreshed look, other patients may benefit from receiving cheek fillers as well.
