Excessive Sweating

Overview

Excessive sweating from the armpits, or axillary hyperhidrosis, is a common condition that can occur due to a variety of factors. Many medical conditions, such as diabetes and gout, can cause excessive sweating, but it can also happen in otherwise healthy individuals who have an overactive sympathetic nervous system.

Either way, it can be an annoying and embarrassing condition to have and we are glad to provide our patients with a treatment to combat this problem. BOTOX, which is well-known for reducing facial wrinkles, is also FDA-approved to treat axillary hyperhidrosis.

Treatment is also effective for excessive sweating on the palms, feet and the hairline.
