Hand Rejuvenation

Hand Rejuvenation

The delicate skin on your hands is just as prone to signs of aging as the skin on your face!

Constantly in movement, fine lines and wrinkles develop on the thin skin of the hands. Sun spots and other pigmentation are also likely to happen on the hands as sunscreen is not regularly applied to them.

  • How are hands rejuvenated?

As with any procedure, Dr. Levine will provide a unique treatment plan to address your concerns. To create more volume in "bony" hands, filler is used just as it would be for the face. To address pigmentation, the innovative Nordlys laser system is used.
  • How does the Nordlys laser treatment work?

Nordlys directs pulses of light into the epidermis, or superficial layer of the skin. The light is then absorbed by melanin in the pigmented lesion and is then converted into heat. The heat eliminates the keratinocytes, which are cells within which melanin is stored.
  • Is it safe?

All cosmetic filler used is FDA-approved with all steps taken to minimize the chance of infection. For laser: The light produced by the system is controlled to ensure that the right amount of energy is used and only the targeted tissue is affected.
